I just love this tangle, and the shading really makes the tangle go wild!
I know I saw this tangle before looking at some of Maria’s work, but I had no idea what they called it. This is such a cute pattern. While I was watching the video on how to Draw Purk, I was sitting at my computer with my sketchbook and pencil and now I have a sampler on how to draw this.

I absolutely LOVE this tangle! This video is SO excellent – it really does make it look simple and is the perfect example of their theme, “Anything is possible one stroke at a time” (or something like that; not sure if that’s the exact phrase). I wouldn’t have thought to do the ovals in a line from one section to another the way she does – I had tried to do it by doing all of the ovals in one section, then going to the next section. This method gives FAR superior results!
