There are many good Zentangle®-related books on the market written by Certified Zentangle Teachers to enhance your tangling experience and broaden your creativity. Though I do not sell these on TanglePatterns they are available through Amazon.com. If you use the links here on the site, TanglePatterns will receive a small commission on sales – and I thank you for that because every penny helps support the site and keep this resource growing for everyone.
Of them all, the book I recommend most highly for new tanglers is CZT® Sandy Bartholomew’s Totally Tangled. You can read my detailed review here on TanglePatterns. As I wrote then, Sandy “reviews the basic steps of creating a Zentangle® followed by tips and techniques on shading, color, contrast, and how to create depth and roundness. As a rookie, I found these pages really valuable and refer to the them often.”
My second personal favorite is CZT® Marie Browning’s Time to Tangle with Colors. Marie teaches about color blending using Tombow color markers and the book includes many of Marie’s own tangles along with some variations on several of the official tangles.
