Zentangle 2 by CZT® Suzanne McNeill is the sequel to her first book, Zentangle Basics.
Many of us know Suzanne as an arts and crafts TV personality. She’s also a designer, artist, columnist, publisher, art instructor, author, and publisher. Her company Design Originals publishes all kinds of great arts and crafts-related books. Zentangle 2 is primarily geared towards people who are into scrapbooks, sketchbooks, journals, and ATCs.
And, for teachers, this is a great sequel to Zentangle Basics. Personally, I would say many of the patterns are suited to older children than the ones in the first book which young children should be able to manage. The patterns in this book would be a great way to “graduate” younger children to more complex patterns.
There are lots of tips on how to embellish scrapbooks and journals with Zentangle® patterns, and there are 40 patterns included with step-by-step illustrations of how to draw them. A few of the patterns are carried over from Zentangle Basics, but there are enough new ones and creative tips and ideas that Zentangle 2 is a worthy addition to your Zentangle® library.
If you are a teacher, or if you know one, Zentangle 2 is a great budget-friendly gift that will deliver hours of Zentangle® pleasure.
