How to draw DIVA DANCE

Zentangle pattern: Diva Dance, Foxtrot variationHere’s a fun new official tangle named Diva Dance from Maria Thomas of Zentangle® HQ, especially created to mark the occasion of this week’s 100th Weekly Challenge run by Canadian CZT Laura Harms, aka Diva.

Congratulations to Laura and all the CZTs who have helped her keep the weekly challenge going and reaching this impressive landmark!

What’s really great about Diva Dance is it comes in three variations based on the Waltz, the Foxtrot, and Rock ‘n’ Roll. They’re all dead simple to draw and are just plain fun to really get immersed in.

I’ve used the Foxtrot variation for my example above. Below are the Waltz variation on the left, and Rock ‘n’ Roll on the right.

Diva Dance Variations - Waltz on the left, Rock 'n' Roll on the right

The possibilities with all three variations are endless and I’ll bet this tangle will soon become a widely-used favorite.

Maria’s step-by-step instructions for drawing Diva Dance are here on Laura’s blog. There you’ll also find the complete background story on the new tangle. And for more beautiful examples of Diva Dance by Maria, visit this issue of the Zentangle newsletter.

Congratulations again to Laura, and here’s to the next 100!
