Hello there my tangling friends, great to see you again! Hope you had a lovely weekend and for those who are fans enjoyed the exciting Super Bowl LVII game yesterday …
Today’s heart-like Waltzy tangle is from Pennsylvania CZT Sue Schneider and it’s her eighth on the site.
In her pretty Valentine ZIA with Waltzy, Sue includes Feeling Knotty, Printemps, Caught, Paradox, and Heart Box.
Sue writes,
Waltzy is different, organic, adds a nice “viney” element to other heart patterns that may depend on a central tangle.
In preparing for my online classes I searched out Heart themed patterns on TanglePatterns.com. From the eighty-plus patterns I picked favorites and drew them in my sketchbook, about 30 or so. There was nothing quite like Waltzy!
Waltzy was inspired by playing with Rixty, but trying to “heartify” it. It is named for my sugar-daddy husband Walt, who has always been so supportive of my artwork.
In this ZIA Sue features Waltzy together with Heartlock and the Zentangle®-original Tipple.
Sue illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Waltzy below where her example has the Zentangle®-original Printemps penciled in the background.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

For tomorrow ..

- "A Zentangle has no up or down and is not a picture of something, so you have no worries about whether you can draw a hand, or a duck. You always succeed in creating a Zentangle." Thus patterns that are drawings of a recognizable naturalistic or actual object, figure, or scene, are not tangles. A pattern is not always a tangle — here's what makes a tangle.
