How to draw ACCOLADEN-07

Greetings y’all!

Our tangle exploration for this weekend is from Swiss CZT Annett Ruempler and Accoladen-07 is her 17th tangle on the site.

Translated into English, the German word accolanden means braces, or { brackets }.  Accoladen form the underlying structure for Annett’s tangle.

Early-ish in our tangle history Australian tangler Helen Williams explored bracket-related tangles with her Brax and Batch tangles. Since then we’ve seen several more in the bracket family, most recently CZT Angie Gittles’s Brackets. Plus there’s a clever idea from Jenna Black using brackets to create an ogee grid for her Shark Kisses tangle. You’ll find these and more by using the term brackets in the site’s search box at the top right of any page.

The above tile was “borrowed” from Annett’s steps, where she includes this tip: “I draw the accolades downwards in one go and place the next row mirror-inverted next to it.”
