May 1st. Egad! Is it just me or is 2015 flying by???
Today’s pretty grid-based tangle JJ is from Ramsey, New Jersey CZT Joy Taylor and it’s her first on the site.
Ramsey “is a suburb of New York City, located 26 miles (42 km) northwest of Midtown Manhattan” according to Wikipedia. Wow, so close to The Big Apple and everything it has to offer … I’m salivating …
Joy’s tangle pattern is a little like CZT Nancy Pinke’s Facets and a little like Magda Wellens’s Graancirkel.
Joy writes, “This is a very easy grid pattern that can be changed just by repositioning the diagonal. Shading into the corners where the lines converge gives the pattern a feeling of depth.”
In order to get the stroke in Step 1 divided into thirds in Step 2, I found it helpful to put two pen dots along the line and aim for those. FWIW.
