It’s the TENTH Edition! TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2021 is available now!

TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2021 EditionI’m so pleased to let you know the new TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2021 Edition — the TENTH Edition — is now available for instant download from this link to the STORE > EBOOKS page.

And the price hasn’t gone up! 🙂 It’s still an AMAZING bargain at $15.

Getting your copy of the GUIDE is a huge win-win — you get a fantastic tool for using TanglePatterns.com while helping keep the site available to you online.

Creating the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE is a labor of love for me and it was such a pleasure reviewing all the great new tangles added in the last year as well as time-traveling through all the wonderful “oldies”. They hold a lot of history. I hope you enjoy using this handy resource and will encourage your tangling friends to get their own copy.

The GUIDE is revised, updated and published in the second week of January each year to include all the tangles from the previous year and add a new feature or two. This 10th edition integrates all of the tangles on the site from May 2010 through December 31st, 2020. Over 1,500 tangles!

The BOOK REVIEWS page has more details and a sample page if you want to learn more about it.

Continuing her TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE tradition CZT Michele Beauchamp has added her beautiful Zentangle®-inspired art to the cover. In her ZIA Michele features many of the tangles that appeared on the site during 2020. Even better, this special 10th Edition contains two more of pages of Michele’s distinctive and exquisite Zentangle artistry. They’re the icing on the cake. Michele shares a little about her 2021 GUIDE creations,

“My favourite tangle patterns for the year are Morrisseau, Hanary and Zenwheel.

As Zentangle HQ didn’t bring out any tangles I took inspiration from the Legend Journal and fragments.

I’m loving the pastel pencils too.”

This year’s TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE has grown to a 90-page PDF resource with the tangle images hot-linked to their post on this site.

Awesome extra features!

Several extra features and articles make the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE an indispensable aid to using the site. It’s not only fantastic having a printed version to refer to, but where the Guide really shines is as an interactive digital aid.

On page 2 the “Guide Contents” directory has “Quick Links” so you can jump to any section of the Guide. Even better, on page 10 where “The Tangles” begin there’s a “Quick Links” feature so you can jump immediately to any letter of the alphabet when you’re looking for a particular tangle.

For your convenience the 2021 Edition includes a new page with links to my detailed summaries of all of the Zentangle Project Packs to date.

This year’s edition again contains a reprint of CZT Sandy Hunter‘s excellent article, A post with no pictures. Sandy has graciously given me permission to include her article “in perpetuity” 🙂

Also updated for the 2021 Edition is the “Zentangle Terminology” section with new terms added during the last year. When you see an unfamiliar term, or want to refresh your memory, you’ll have this handy reference at your offline fingertips.

To get your copy of the new TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE click the cover image above or go to the top menu bar on any page on the site and select the STORE > EBOOKS page.

Technical stuff

Please take a moment to read the important information at the top of that page before you purchase the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE and note there are several eBooks on that page so TAKE YOUR TIME AND CHOOSE YOUR PURCHASE CAREFULLY!

The entire download process is automated — when your transaction has successfully completed your browser will be redirected to another page containing your personalized secure download link. To avoid file corruption, you must SAVE the document to your device before you attempt to open it. Once it has downloaded completely to your device you can then open the document and print it.

No worries if your browser fails to open another page, your secure download link is also sent to the email address you used in PayPal. If you use the email address of a “significant other”, remember to let them know you are expecting a confirming email with your download link so they don’t delete your email by mistake. BTW, Gmail is known to flag regular emails as spam or junk so if you don’t see the PayPal email in your Gmail inbox, check those folders.

For Security Reasons Your Link is Time Sensitive!

For security reasons your link is time-sensitive and expires within 5 days of your transaction.

Be sure to download the file as soon as you complete your transaction!

You don’t have to open an account to use PayPal: when you check out you will be given the choice of paying with a PayPal account OR with a debit or credit card. If you choose to pay with an e-check, when your check clears in 3-5 days your download link will be sent to the email address you used in PayPal.

How to order by mailNote: If you prefer to make your purchase by mail, you can send a check or money order (US$ money order if you are from outside the USA) with your email address PRINTED CLEARLY to:

Linda Farmer, TanglePatterns.com, PO Box 880386, Port St Lucie FL 34988. When your payment is received I will email you an eBook download link.

A word about the alphabetic sorting of the tangles for those who are bound to ask. In prior editions to simplify the sorting task I used Microsoft Word and its criteria for alphabetical sorting – and it is undeniably quirky. This year I’ve reorganized the list to correspond (mostly) with the sequence the tangles are displayed on the site, which also has its own quirks.

Spread the word!

Please spread the word on social media, in a post and/or add a “badge” for the new TanglePatterns TANGLE GUIDE on your blog – see the bottom of the RIGHT sidebar for the easy copy-and-paste code.

Encouraging your tangling friends to support the site by getting their copy of the latest edition is so greatly appreciated.

Keep your file in a safe place

Keep a backup copy in a safe place such as a memory stick. Due to the frequency of requests to replace lost files and the personal time involved in handling these requests, lost files are not replaced free.

Paraphrasing the late Canadian artist Robert Genn, I’d love to do it, but I’d need an extra week tacked onto every day. Replacements for lost files can be ordered and downloaded from the STORE > EBOOKS page.

And as always, your feedback, comments and suggestions are always most welcome.

Thanks for supporting the site with your purchase!

ENJOY, Cheers and happy tangling!

Thank you so much Linda for all the hard work in preparing this year’s Tangle Patterns Guidebook! I just started with last year’s edition and began Tangling 2.5 years ago. I became a CZT in November of 2020 and this is immensely helpful and a beautiful guidebook. Thank you again.

  • 10th Edition! Congratulations, and thank you for everything you do for the Zentangle community.

How many cups of coffee have you had with friends or family this last month??
Do you absolutely love this site with Linda working so hard?? She works all the time to make sure we see the BEST of the Tangling patterns available.
I am a Tangler in North Queensland in Australia. I have been tangling since 12 February 2012 and Linda’s site has been a wonderful site providing so much information for me over the years!.’
Are YOU aware that for the cost of A CUP OF COFFEE, YOU can keep this site going, to continue all the information to those of us who have been tangling for ages, and most importantly, to those who are just beginning and who need all the help they can get!
I am just a tangler from the other side of the world, but I do ask EVERYONE who visits this site to send a donation just of THE COST OF A CUP OF COFFEE to Linda, to enable her to keep this site going and to keep providing us ALL, from all corners of the world, with the information we all need about tangling!
Think of it, a cup of coffee in exchange of Knowledge!!
