Zentangle® Project Pack #05 Summary – Zentangle Cartouches

Project Pack No. 05Zentangle’s Project Pack #05 introduces us to Zentangle Cartouches. As Maria notes in the introductory video:

Cartouche is an old-world word that we revived just for Zentangle. Traditionally a cartouche is a decorative frame surrounding an image or an inspiration.

Today we bring back this lovely word to describe our approach of using the Zentangle Method to create ornate frames and borders around photos and other items that we might want to make a home for.

SUPPLIES: This Project Pack is available here ($28.95) in the store and it’s certainly a convenient way to get all the supplies for the project. However for those of us whose budgets are tight, the Introduction video reviews the items in the Project Pack and you might discover you have suitable alternatives in your own Zentangle supplies.

The following chronology is a summary of the videos for Project Pack #05 with links to the individual videos. Either click the Day #’s title link or the image itself to view the full video on YouTube.

We take simple tangles and use them in unexpected ways. We work with different ways to mount photos and objects. Then we play with auras, tangle enhancers, and creative shading techniques to bring special focus to some of your most meaningful possessions.

It isn’t necessary to watch the videos in sequence, but it will be very helpful for you to watch the Introduction video first.
