Our second tangle today is CZT Jody Genovese’s Wink, sister to Klomp which we explored earlier.
You can read how Wink and Klomp came about here, Wink was actually the first of the two tangles Jody came up with.
She notes,
Wink looks somewhat like Meshmerize, but I think you will find that it comes together quite differently. It can be embellished in so many ways and rather than make that part of the step out I tried to demonstrate that in my tiles.
As you can see both Wink and Klomp start out very much the same, but by changing the center from a seed to a diamond shape it becomes quite different.
I chose Wink as the name because with the seed shape in the middle it seems to be winking at me.
Jody illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Wink below and as she notes above, in her tiles Jody demonstrates some lovely ways to embellish her tangle, each with very different end results.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share!

Tomorrow is Anzac Day — “Lest we forget”
Tomorrow our fellow Australia and New Zealand tanglers — Aussies and Kiwis — observe an important national commemorative day.
April 25th is one of Australia and New Zealand’s most important national commemorative occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
“Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders ‘who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations’ and ‘the contribution and suffering of all those who have served.’
Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli against the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook Islands, Niue, Pitcairn Islands, and Tonga, and previously also as a national holiday in Papua New Guinea and Samoa.” Wikipedia
Anzac Day is broadly equivalent to our Remembrance/Veterans Day (honoring all who served) combined with Memorial Day (commemorating those who died serving).
Lest we forget our friends and allies.

Jody, I am truly in awe of your talent! Your two new tangles look like fun and I love your examples.
Thank you Laurel. I appreciate that so much. Hope all is well.
I am amazed at how many variations of what seems like a simailar tangle keep coming from all you wonderful tanglers out there. But they really are different.
So true Sue, isn’t it? Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, means a lot.
I like “klomp” and her sister too. I see beautiful variations on your example, thank you Jody!
Thank you Ria for always being so supportive. I’m glad you like it.
A very challenging tangle with a ‘WOW’ factor as it comes together. Great!
Thank you Bunny! So happy you like it.
