A quick word before we get to CZT Damy Teng’s D’rua tangle …
I’ve added a new page to the BOOK REVIEWS tab on the top menu bar for the brand new Zentangle PRIMER Vol 1 where I take a look at the contents in more detail. Cutting to the chase: awesome! Detailed. Encouraging. Inspiring. Worth every penny. You need this book!
D’rua is another great continuous line tangle from Taiwan CZT Damy Teng.
At first glance D’rua looks similar in a way to CZT Anita Roby-Lavery’s Antidots so I put it to one side. But I got to thinking about it and after practicing it a few times have come to appreciate the subtle differences in how it grows organically. I’m sure you’ll enjoy playing with both of these easy, pretty tangles.
Both tangles were inspired by free-motion quilting.
Damy illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing D’rua below.
Damy’s Zentangle® tile features D’rua together with the Zentangle-original tangles Mooka, Ennies, Tipple and Flux, and a wee touch of CZT Hanny Waldburger’s Fleavy.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please do leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity for you to enjoy.
Check out the tag damyt for more of Damy’s tangles on TanglePatterns.com.
Enjoy a beautiful weekend everyone, and remember to SPRING FORWARD and set your clocks ahead one hour tomorrow night!

I really like this one! Very neat how it grows and can branch out. Thanks for sharing.
Love this beautiful organic tangle. Thanks Damy!
lovely!
What a relaxing, easy, fun tangle to draw! I love this one! Thank you, Damy.
I love this tangle. I just did a whole page in my sketchbook with this. How fun! I will use this one in a tile soon. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Wonderful tangle! Fun and easy to do. I’m tangling D’Rua on an egg for Easter! Thanks for this!
gosh, this is a fun one! It is fun to do as a one line tangle. Reminds me of anti dots and flux together, but each “leaf” looks like an idol. hahahaha. I expect I’ll fill a page or two and foresee a lot of use in my work.
Tangles that grow organically like this does are my favorites. They are really fun to combine in different ways, lots of cool surprises as they materialize!
Thanks so much for sharing this, can’t wait to get my pencil and pen out…
Great filler ; interesting to the eye ….thanks ever so much !
We want More ! We want More !!!
This tangle is so relaxing. Thank you Damy for sharing and thank you Linda for posting. It is such a pretty tangle. It looks more complicated than it is.
Lovely pattern!
Oooooo….I love this one! It is great fun to draw! I really enjoy letting it go in whichever direction. Thank you for sharing D’rua!
