How to draw CUBINE, CRAZY CUBINE, WILD CUBINE and BLOSSOMING CUBINE

Tangle pattern: Cubine. Image © Linda Farmer and TanglePatterns.com. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. You may use this image for your personal non-commercial reference only. The unauthorized pinning, reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal.Cubine is another 3D optical illusion type of tangle pattern.

Variants include using straight or curved lines for the frame and different shapes for the solid areas, shading, and filling shapes with thinly-spaced lines. I tend to like these architectural type of patterns very much. So orderly. 😀

Cubine is an original Zentangle® tangle deconstructed by Maria Thomas. The link to Maria’s illustrated step-by-step instructions for drawing this pattern is here.

why are there some steps on how to make them and on some there arent?

    • Linda Farmer

Hi Kate, the only patterns I include step-by-step instructions for on my site are patterns I’ve created, or that tanglers have submitted to have them included here. All other patterns contain a link to the pattern creator’s own illustrations of the steps for drawing their patterns.

  • Linda Farmer, CZT

CZT Margaret Bremner has been experimenting with “Sprinkled Cubine” (or “Floating Cubine”) on her blog. I’ve added the link above, look for the UPDATE.
