How to draw VOGA

Zentangle pattern: VogaIt’s been quite some time since Ohio CZT® Carole Ohl posted a new tangle pattern and I always love whatever she comes up with because it’s uniquely her style. Voga is no exception.

Carole has been taking somewhat of a break from Zentangle® over the last year as her focus has been on opening a bead shop called Stash in the Dayton area.

I was so delighted to see her post with her new tangle. Carole shows Voga in two “V” shape variations, one using straight lines and one with curvy lines. I chose the curvy version for my example.

Carole illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Voga here on her blog and offers some advice on how to connect the “V”s to best advantage, “resist the urge to draw a line straight through the point. Move slowly to let the line dance from one point to the next.”

Carole’s advice applies to some of her other tangles – Puf, Featherfall and Shard come to mind – as they too feature connecting the points with lines that dance.

love this site. Seems to be all inclusive. I have just started zentangling a few weeks ago and am loving the process. It is also helping to relax some of my stress in being a caregiver for my aging mother.
