How to draw ZOLA

Hi there! We start this month off with one of my favorite kind of tangles, a grid-based one.

Grid-based tangles fill a space on a Zentangle® tile easily and effectively, and they’re so meditative to tangle. When the tangle includes some deliberate ink fills too, that’s when you really focus.

Macedonian tangler Elena Hadzijaneva already has a dozen great tangles on the site and today we add Zola to that catalog.

Zola has been around for a while but until now hasn’t made it out of the archives. I was specifically attracted to it recently for its unusual, almost jigsaw puzzle shapes and the notan quality of it. Unique and unusual.
