How to draw CLOTHESLINE

Zentangle pattern: ClotheslineClothesline is a very simple and pretty tangle to add to our collection and quite useful for filling a large section without looking too busy.

Clothesline is easy as pie to draw and you can play with it in a host of creative ways from changing the basic shapes of the scallops to varying the fills used in any of the spaces. A little drop shadow would dress it up with some dimension too.

CZT® Suzanne McNeill’s tangle pattern appears in her Zentangle 5 book that features interesting Zentangle-inspired jewelry projects using a variety of materials including leather, wood, dominoes, glass gems, polymer clay and resin, shrink plastic, and bottle caps.

Suzanne illustrates the steps for drawing her Clothesline tangle here.

For Your Complete Zentangle® Library

Visit the BOOK REVIEWS tab at the top of the page for details on any of these great Zentangle® books. BTW – if you are just starting out, I recommend “Totally Tangled”. Lots of useful drawing info in that one. Then you can branch out with projects in any of Suzanne’s books as suits your interests.
