Joanne Fink tutorial on her Zentangle-inspired dangle designs

More Zentangle-inspired fun from calligrapher and author of the very popular Zenspirations book, Joanne Fink. In her “Dangles” video (7:37 minutes), Joanne teaches one of her creative ways to embellish your art with dangle designs.

Joanne gives lots of great tips on how and where to add color accents to a dangle drawing with Sakura Gelly Roll Moonlight Pens. A good example of her technique can be found on the back cover of her Zenspirations book, and she also features her dangles on a beautiful greeting card. In another example, Joanne highlights her dangles with Sakura Koi Watercolors. I’m sure you can think of all kinds of creative applications for this fun dangle technique.

The video was filmed live at the Winter CHA conference and the sound is not great because of the ambient crowd noise, but crank up the volume and stick with it – you will enjoy adding this fun new technique to your creative arsenal.

Joanne – I love your Zentangles! To me, it looks like a sheet of music, where the notes are playing! I love this form of meditation and try to doodle whenever I can.
