How to draw LOOBY LOO

Zentangle pattern: Looby LooChicago-based CZT® Sue Jacobs created the tangle pattern Looby Loo based on a calligraphic ornament. It’s a very simple and fun border pattern to draw.

Sue writes “You can easily turn corners or work this along a curved string.”

Here in my version of Looby Loo I added touches of fills which ended up making it look kind of playful and quite different from its elegant original. In many ways this reminds me of the official pattern XYP.

Sue illustrates the steps for drawing Looby Loo, here.

And a wee reminder …

From the new release of AlphaTangle here’s a lingo reminder for all the newbies and not-so-newbies …

TIP: Zentangle is a noun, not a verb.

Don’t say “I Zentangled my bathroom floor.”

Say “I tangled my bathroom floor.”

Other things to say:

“I need to create a Zentangle, right now!”

“Sorry, I didn’t hear you. I was busy tangling.”

:-)
