How to draw WIST

Zentangle pattern: WistThis lovely tangle pattern is from Australian Zentangle® Zealot (and now CZT®), Michele Beauchamp (aka Shelly Beauch on flickr).

Wist is a great pattern to start off the new year and its inspiration came from the spectacular Wisteria cascades growing over Michele’s front entry a couple of months ago.

Michele has posted a photo of her pattern inspiration along with her illustration of how to draw Wist, here. She has a wonderful Zentangle with Wist and a couple of variations here. Wist can be a filler, and it’s also great used along a string as a border.

One of the reasons I wanted to start the year with this particular pattern is that Michele has written a wonderful poem, Today, (I’ve written about it before) that is a perfect inspiration for the start of 2011. Be sure to read Today here on her blog.

Check out the tag shellyb for more of Michele’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.
