Here’s a very pretty tangle pattern for you, and it’s easy too. The lovely Girlande, is another pattern from Germany’s Simone Bischoff. Translation? In English, “girlande” is quite simply “garland”. And quite suitable for this tangle, don’t you think?
Girlande makes a very tasty tangle to use along a string or as a border. I added a touch of shading just below the black pearls/orbs to give it a bit of dimension. My blender (tortillion) is so full of graphite that I don’t even need to use a pencil on this type of shading. Simple and fun.

Cool Computer Tip
I’ve recently upgraded to a new (Windows) computer and everything on the internet was looking really teeny tiny on the new monitor (do they even call them that any more?). I discovered the coolest thing, you may already know it but I’m going to share it anyway.
If you hold down the Ctrl key and roll your mouse scroll button, you can increase/decrease the size of the webpage (and documents) on your screen! How great is that.
I can see! I can see! I can see! 🙂

That is simply lovely! I left a comment on Ms Bischoff’s website (in google translated German–I hope it didn’t mangle it too badly!), and then looked through her gallery of Zentangles. Some are just breathtaking! If you have not taken a look at them, please do. The dimensionality of her work is outstanding; some of them seem to pop right off the page. Just beautiful work.

You can also press Ctrl and the + sign to enlarge or Ctrl and the – sign to decrease…and to get back to normal page size Ctrl and 0 (number zero)

Love the tangle. I tend to use a lot of the organic, flowery looking tangles. I tried the mouse tip and was delightfully surprised. Isn’t it wonderful that we can still learn something new, almost every day.
