Yay! It’s the weekend! 🙂
And this is the one where we “Spring forward” with our clocks in this part of the world. An hour closer to warmer times of year for we Northern Hemisphere-ites …
To enhance your weekend enjoyment, we have a super fun tangle from Spanish CZT Tomàs Padrós to explore. And believe me when I tell you, my rendering is but the very basic of all the ways Tomas shows us Adobe can be played with.
He writes,
Adobe is basically a ribbon tangle. Its name came to me quickly. In its aesthetic I visualize the adobe walls typical of certain traditional and rustic constructions.

In the example tile I display four ribbons. In the top one I show one of the various designs that I call Masx, originally derived from Chorus.
In the second ribbon I isolate a simple sequence of Crazy Huggins-style links.
The third ribbon shows a basic Adobe arrangement.
The last one shows a square fragment with a design that could be understood as a rectilinear version of JJ LaBarbera’s Verve that offers an aesthetic result close to Cyndi Knapp’s L’s.
I hope you like the deconstruction with all the possibilities I suggest.

What fun Thomas. The name in particular attracted me as I live in New Mexico a part of the world where Adobe buildings are common. I actually grew up in an adobe house.
