Hello again and welcome back on this Easter weekend Good Friday.
Today our tangle comes to us from Down Under and Australian CZT Lianne Woods.
Creatod is Lianne’s eleventh tangle on the site, not too long ago we explored her Sable and Starnet additions.
Lianne shares her inspiration for Creatod and explains its name,
Every now and then, a pattern seems to leap straight off the page and ask to become a tangle. Creatod arrived exactly that way — found on the cover of a journal, shimmering with the gold symmetry and stepped elegance of classic Art Deco design. Its name hints at its origin: a created pattern waiting to be decoded into Zentangle® form. Creatod is an anagram of Art Deco.
Creatod is wonderfully versatile. Its strong architectural lines make it perfect for:
- Square fragments – where its repeating geometry locks together like tiny Deco tiles
- Borders – creating rhythmic, stylish frames that feel both vintage and modern
- Vessel – Creatod provides inviting spaces where both organic and geometric tangles can comfortably nestle inside.
Creatod brings a sense of structure, glamour, and quiet sophistication to any tile. It’s a pattern that feels both familiar and fresh—an elegant companion for your existing tangle library.

I have been a fan of Zentangle for almost 2 years, and enjoy new ideas. I have always been a drawing and watercolor person, but Tangling really relaxes me and helps me to not be so ‘Focused’.
