How to draw EASE

Hello there and welcome back for our last tangle for this month. And Happy Hallowe’en for tomorrow!

Canadian artist and CZT Margaret Bremner has contributed so many tangles and her wonderful signature “and then some …” tutorials to the Zentangle® world. Margaret participated in one of the earliest certification seminars, CZT#3 in May 2010, right about the time TanglePatterns was launched.

Today Margaret’s here sharing a super easy, bold and fun tangle she’s named Ease. For more on her inspiring tutorials, scroll down to the section below today’s tangle and be sure not to miss all her great tangles on the site either.

Margaret writes,

I was going through a lot of old tiles and came across this pattern that I was developing some years ago.

Ease sounds like E’s, also fairly easy :-).

For my example of Ease I repeated Step 2 until I had all the grid squares filled (which looks pretty cool on its own, by the by) and then went back to add Step 3 to complete the tangle.

Margaret illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Ease below and she includes two Zentangles featuring her tangle with some ideas for ways to explore it in addition to the basic grid. Ease looks remarkably similar to the way Margaret prints E’s in her name 😉
