Greetings my tangling friends and welcome back for another week of inspirational tangles.
This past Saturday (10th) marked the beginning of celebrations for Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year.
Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year is a 15-day festival that is celebrated annually depending on the sighting of the new moon. The occasion is also known as the Spring Festival, and an animal is associated with each New Year.
This new year is the Year of the Dragon and in the Chinese zodiac dragons symbolize good luck, justice and prosperity. We wish all our tangling friends celebrating the Lunar New Year – and all who aren’t – good luck, good health and happiness!
And now for our “regularly scheduled programming” 🙂 We have a beautiful and unusual heart tangle to explore today.
The deconstruction for LuvUMost is from a fellow Floridian, CZT Rachael Schwartz and it’s her fourth tangle on the site. Most recently we explored her Empire tangle.
LuvUMost may appear intricate and complicated, but it comes together very easily, “one stroke at a time”.
Rachael writes,
LuvUMost was inspired by a piece of ornate home decor, but named in honor of my two children as I see the two hearts as representing them.
Growing up when they would say “I love you”, I would always reply “I love you more; actually I love you MOST.”
I explained that it wasn’t a competition that I loved them more than they loved me. It was that I loved them more than I loved anything else. “I love you more than chocolate. I love you deeper than the ocean.” etc.
My children are now 24 and 27 and they still to this day get told LoveUMost.
Rachael illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing LuvUMost below and her beautiful tiles demonstrate how to use LuvUMost as a focal image, a ribbon-style tangle, or a frame. The Zentangle®-originals Knightsbridge and Printemps play a supporting role, as does the tangle enhancer sparkle.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

Thus patterns that are drawings of a recognizable naturalistic or actual object, figure, or scene, are not tangles. A pattern is not always a tangle — here's what makes a tangle. Rachael –
Thank you for this exquisite addition to my jewelry box.
@LindaFarmer ; I love your valentine themed posts this month!
Thanks Judy! 🙂
Beautiful! Looking forward to working with this!
VERY pretty, Rachael! I’m not usually a fan of heart-themed tangles (tho I’m a BIG fan of love!), but this one is most intriguing. Your examples are wonderful and I look forward to drawing this graceful tangle.
What a fun tangle. Love how it goes together with the mooka.
