Greetings all, welcome to Friday and our Memorial Day long weekend!
Today’s Mati tangle is from Guernsey CZT Sarah Harrison, and it’s her first on the site as a CZT — and she’s the only one in the Channel Islands.
Sarah just became certified in the recent online CZT#37 seminar but she has eight more pre-CZT fun tangles on the site for you to explore including her most recent, Hysteria. Congrats to Sarah and to all of her CZT#37 classmates!
In her CZT profile Sarah writes,
I am a mum of two boys, my eldest has Autism. So for a long time i couldn’t work as i had to care for him. I came across the Zentangle® Method in October 2010 and i was hooked. I couldn’t get to the US, so when they gave the opportunity to do the online seminar i jumped at the chance.
I am hoping to spread Zentangle around this gorgeous group of islands.
Sarah tells us about Mati,
I’ve done another late night tangle. I love it and I hope you do too.
It reminded me of the Greek Eye, I know it doesn’t look like it but that’s what came to my head.
So i called it Mati, which is greek for Eye.
Sarah illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Mati below where she presents it in a colorful ZIA with lots of ideas for fills and embellishments.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!
