Today’s elegant Rayga tangle is from Dutch CZT Anoeska Waardenburg and it’s her second on the site.
Pip-in was Anoeska’s first, be sure to have a look as well as learn a little bit about her home town of Gouda.
Anoeska gives a little history about Pip-in as well while explaining how Rayga was born:
[Pip-in] was born a few weeks after my son Joren Pepijn was born. Whilst being half asleep, I dreamt myself a tangle: Pip-in. The name derived from my son’s second name Pepijn which is Pippin in English.
Ok, that’s history but… It happened again. Three months ago I gave birth to my second son Seppe Reger and even though he is a very good sleeper there still was this moment when I saw myself dreaming up a new tangle.
I decided to name this one after my second son. It is called Rayga which sounds a bit like Reger (when you pronounce it in Dutch that is).
Anoeska illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Rayga below and she features it in an elegant duotangle with a variety of beautiful Tipple. Such great texture!
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

Thank you, Anoeska and Linda, for posting tangle Rayga.
I keep a running list of tangles for my personal use that I call Tangles in Motion. Your suggested shading that puts Rayga into that rare category. Thanks again.
A fun one and had to look up pip-in too. Both are fun.
Thanks for featuring Rayga Linda! And thanks to everyone above for the kind comments. I hope you will enjoy tangling Rayga.

Anoeska, I love this tangle! It represents such fluid movement. Can’t wait to work it into a project!
Hi Linda: Thank you for the Rayga tangle. Pretty name too. Your tangle looks like a border for ceramic tiles. It is easy and fun tangle.
