Welcome to another fun week of tangle creativity, so lovely to see you again 🙂
Our easy Monday tangle is the whimsical C-Lyn tangle from Amherst, New Hampshire CZT Lynda Abbot, and it’s her first on the site.
Lynda introduces herself and her tangle,
Here’s a fun little pattern I created, it was inspired by the vintage ceiling tiles in my bathroom, of all things! Very versatile – get it, tile – with endless possibilities for variations.
I was coerced into a Zentangle class with my sister 4 years ago and have been obsessed with it since then! Finally had the courage to become a CZT but Covid decided to interfere. Thankfully there was a virtual seminar offered and I took the leap of faith.
I’m a very busy and stressed out nurse so this is the perfect obsession for me to share with family, friends, co-workers and patients.
I love whimsical tangles and Lynda’s play on words of ceiling/C-Lyn is enough to put a smile on your face too.
Lynda illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing C-Lyn below and features it in a fun monotangle demonstrating a few ways to fill the triangles.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

Oh how fun!! I was having tangle-block, trying to imagine what to use to fill-in this year’s agenda cover! I’ve got it now! They remind me of the cocktail glasses I’ve been filling up on Friday zoom with my 5 siblings! Since 2018 my daughter has given me an agenda with a blank cover for Christmas. Shortly into 2019, I soiled it with a big ink streak, and after being upset at myself for a few minutes, I realized it was an opportunity! The ink streak became a line in Pepper, and I’ve never looked at a blank agenda cover since! I’m working on my 2021 now, and will definitely incorporate C-Lyn. I love it! Stay safe, your devotion and care as a nurse is applauded and appreciated. Thank you Lynda! And thank YOU, Linda for helping us chill!
A wonderful play on words, Lynda – very clever. Love your happy -go-lucky tangle. Thank you for creating and sharing.
What a great story!!! Cocktails!!! I would love to see you finished agenda! And thank you!
