Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by and welcome to another week of fun tangle creativity …
Today’s sweet and SUPER easy tangle is called FF (Frozen Falling) and it’s from Hong Kong CZT Cat Kwan.
Cat is a member of CZT-Asia #1, the very first CZT class given outside of the USA wa-a-ay back in 2016. FF is her fourth tangle on the site.
FF reminds me of calligraphy artist Joanne Fink’s Zenspirations® dangle designs and it’s ripe for all kinds of creative explorations. Simple and elegant, FF is a perfect Monday tangle.
Cat writes,
The idea of this tangle is come from a TV game, these are the Disney’s Frozen story in one of the episodes. I saw this beautiful scene in the game, and found ‘FF’ inside.
FF is the slang of Cantonese, it means “fantasy” (also come from the famous game “Final Fantasy”).
When I play this game and find the tangle, I feel this fantasy world is amazing!!!!
This one is SO much fun to do and I was just itching to get out my Sakura glitter pens. I always remember Rick saying that he finds it most comfortable to pull lines towards him, like from top to bottom as in Step 1. For me, my wrist and thumb seem to only manage those longer strokes horizontally so for instance for Step 1 I turn my tile and add the strokes from left to right. To each his own comfort level. 🙂
Cat illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing FF below and she notes, “I drew ‘FF’ with sparkle Printemps for the sample, it is a lovely tangle!”
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

Cat and Linda –
Thank you so much for sharing this tangle. I’m not sure if it was intentional or not but I’m seeing a duotangle of FF and a side view of Rick’s SeZ with the sparkle in the sample tile. Perfect fit.
Lovely tangle Cat, thank you! I’m looking forward to having some fun playing with it.
Just delightful! I believe it’ll be quite versatile as I can also visualize drawing a mobile with it! And all the while softly singing the song … 🙂
It looks so nice at this time of the year. Many thanks.
So Simple, So versatile, Lots to do with it. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing. I needed something “easy does-it” today. 🙂
I love this design. I do lots of free motion machine stitching and I plan to stitch this one….I cannot wait to see how it turns out!
By the way, I am new here and am absolutely in love with your videos and tutorials!
Frozen Falling is SO much fun! I want to play and play with it. What can I make with it! thank you!
Perfectly reminds me of ice slowly dripping off the trees in my forest – it’s a lovely easy playful tangle! Thank you!!
This is simple elegance! Reminds me that nature’s default is simplicity’s. Thank you Cat and Linda.
