The unauthorized pinning, reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal.Well, Well, Who is the latest Zentangle®-original tangle for us to explore, it was first introduced at the 2018 CZT zenAgain retreat in November.

From the original 102 tangles, our list of “Official Tangles” has now reached 166.

Well, Well, Who was shared with the CZT-community-at-large in our CZT newsletter last month for those of us who couldn’t attend zenAgain. It was also recently introduced in the Zentangle Mosaic app. Thus many of you have already had the opportunity to play with this fun tangle.

Maria writes,

This tangle shares Zentangle DNA with the tangle well. Rick came up with the name after noticing it had a rather ‘owlish’ look to it. …

You’ll want a fairly good size space to try it out, (at least a Zendala) then you will know what size you can comfortably tangle this tangle.

As always, have fun.

In addition to sharing DNA with Well, this tangle has very similar elements in CZT® Jana Rogers’s Stella and its sibling, CZT® Jennifer Jones’s Bonnie.

FWIW I had no issues tangling Well, Well, Who in the actual size you see it here in my minimalist example. I haven’t tried it on a larger tile, that’s on my “To Do” list.

Maria illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Well, Well, Who here in the Zentangle newsletter with a beautiful example on a black Zendala tile. In the newsletter Maria describes exactly how she tangled this lovely monotangle including the supplies she used.

I love this tangle. It’s so interesting to see the same basic elements lead to a completely different tangle. Thanks for adding the tangles with “similar elements”. I’ve used Stella but hadn’t picked up on Bonnie. I really like them all.
