How to draw YOGA

Zentangle pattern: YogaYoga is a tangle pattern from Canadian CZT® Margaret Bremner.

Inspired by a pattern she observed on a yoga mat, Margaret writes it’s “pretty much 50/50 black-and-white and is quite bold, but has a nice nature-y look because of the leaf shapes.”

This is not a tangle to try with a pen that’s running low on ink – it uses a lot. For my example I decided to experiment using an 05 nib. It filled the solid areas very well, but it is a very different feel from the 01′s and not as easy to get finer detail.

Margaret illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Yoga here on her blog, and shows Yoga in two completed Zentangles.
