How to draw CHORDIN

Zentangle pattern: ChordinA couple of weeks ago when I added Sharon Caforio’s Sparkle tangle to TanglePatterns, I enjoyed playing with a shape that’s a little unusual from those we often see in our tangles.

I recalled another tangle pattern using that shape, and here we have Chordin by Elena Hadzijaneva.

You could vary this in a fun way by alternately stretching and shrinking the “eye”, and of course with different fills and shading. Stacking them up produces an interesting all-over pattern.

Chordin also makes a good border or stripe tangle and Elena illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing it here.

Check out the tag elenah for more of Elena’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.
