How to draw LOOPS

Zentangle pattern: LoopsCZT® Suzanne McNeill’s tangle pattern, Loops, appears in her book Zentangle 3.

Loops can be drawn on a regular grid as I’ve done here, on an offset grid as Suzanne’s instructions show, or randomly as a fill. Here I used a bit of shading in the center of each to add depth.

Zentangle pattern: Loops with Floral VariationYou can also get a very pretty floral variation by going back in after you’ve drawn Loops and rounding the “sharp” corners of the lines to create petals. I’ve done this here with all except the lower left corner so you can see the difference. I love how you can “chisel” the shapes with your pen.

Suzanne illustrates the steps for drawing Loops, here.

I love the page that ‘steps for drawing loops’ takes me to, but it isn’t how to draw loops. is there a link within that link that I am missing?

Hi Lindsey, apparently there is a problem with Internet Explorer displaying the image for Loops. I’m trying to find out what’s going on. Hang in there – or another option is to use Firefox because the steps are displaying correctly with that browser.

      Thanks for your patience everyone!
