How to draw NIPA

Zentangle pattern: NipaNipa is a tangle pattern created by Zentangle® originators Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. It has been quite some time since instructions for drawing another of the original 102+ “official” Zentangle® patterns have been posted online so I can add it to TanglePatterns. Yesterday Suzanne McNeill added to our trove with her illustration of how to draw this fun pattern so naturally I had to jump on it.

Nipa also appears in Suzanne’s Zentangle 3 book and in Sandy Bartholomew’s AlphaTangle. Suzanne posted the instructions for drawing Nipa, here. Just for fun I adding shading and solid fills to some of the orbs.

Check out the tag zentangle for more official Zentangle® patterns on TanglePatterns.com.
