How to draw HEARTVINE

Zentangle pattern: HeartvineWe’ve had a couple of dense, darkish tangle patterns in the last few days so I looked around for a lighter, simpler pattern to give some balance to the mix and came up with Heartvine.

Heartvine is from Lori Howe, aka lacefairy on flickr and she tells me this tangle pattern is “derived from continuous line designs used in quilting”. A variation is known as Leafvine.

Lori illustrates the steps for drawing Heartvine, here.
