How to draw SCRUMBLE

Zentangle pattern: ScrumbleScrumble has the honor of being the first tangle pattern submitted to TanglePatterns.com! Jane Monk, of Jane Monk Studio, generously emailed her pattern and instructions to share with everyone. THANKS, Jane!

Jane is from Grindelwald, Tasmania, Australia where she is an award-winning quilter, does commissioned Miniature Ink Art, and teaches “Mini Ink Art” adult education classes. She recently told me she’s coming to the upcoming CZT training in October! Lucky gal.

I call this pattern “scrumble” because I got the idea from wool when doing some crochet scrumbling. You can play with the shading to make individual bobbles pop out or make it look like you have a cable by just shading one line.

Jane’s illustration of the step-by-step instructions on her blog for her tangle pattern Scrumble, is here.

Check out the tag: janem for more of Jane’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.
