Because they’re few, and often far between, it’s always so exciting when we get a new Zentangle®-original tangle to add to our collection. Now up to 179!
And how lucky are we, because Rambles is our second new one within a week! Like last week’s Mythograph, we not only get to learn how to tangle Rambles but we have another fanciful tangle mashup to explore.
Rambles is another one of the six new tangles first introduced at the CZT-only zenAgain annual conference last November: Foundabout, Mysealiam, Mythograph, Pouyang, Rambles and Wyfore.
On Monday in Day 6 of Zentangle’s Project Pack #21, Rambles was introduced to the public-at-large for the first time. Rambles was named in honor of one of Maria and Rick’s grandchildren – one of Martha’s three sons, Ramsey. (Mysealiam was named in honor of Ramsey’s brother, Liam.)
As part of the Organic Tangles: Tangles of a Botanical Nature project pack, Rick creates Rambling Arukas, his fantastical imaginary botanical specimen combining Arukas, Rambles and Tipple.
You’ll find the printable steps for tangling Rambles here in Zentangle’s newsletter.

A reminder that next week after this Project Pack series wraps up I’ll be posting my TanglePatterns Project Pack Summary with links to all the video tutorials AND a detailed summary of each.
PS: For more ways to draw a ribbon, see this oldie-but-goodie tutorial from Sandra Strait.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

I love this! My own “technique” for drawing ribbons has been rather hit or miss, mostly miss. But I used Rick’s method just now, and it works! My ribbon came out looking like a RIBBON! 😀
Hi Linda,
FYI, when I click the link for Rambles, I get the message
“Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”
Thanks, fixed it!
