How to draw LETTERISH

Greetings my tangling friends and welcome to another fabulous year of tangle inspiration. Lovely to see you again, I missed you 🙂

Hope everyone is staying Covid-free? Robert and I are double vaxed and boosted and fingers crossed, still going strong. I admit we kinda got out of the sanitizer habit for a while but now we’re being extra careful about masks and regularly using hand sanitizer once more. C’est la vie.

Today’s fun and easy Monday tangle to get us underway in 2022 is Letterish from NY CZT Jody Genovese. Letterish is her 21st tangle on the site.

Jody writes,

This pattern was inspired by a background element from a TV interview some years ago.

I took a picture of it and periodically look at the picture because there are several pieces in it that look like they would make great patterns.

Recently this one jumped out at me and I thought I would give it a go.

It’s very dramatic, fast, easy and I think fun.

Nothing quite like a tangle that easily fills up a space and is utterly absorbing and fun to tangle. That’s Letterish! Looks like letters, could be letters, might not be letters …

Jody illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing her ribbon-style Letterish below and she features it and its variation in a cool Zentangle® Phi tile.
