Greetings y’all, lovely to see you again and thanks as always for keeping me company!
New York CZT Susan Kelley Pundt shares her sweet ribbon-style Flobord tangle for us to explore today. Flobord is Susan’s eighth tangle on the site.
She writes,
This pattern decided to come into being without my input in a tangled tile I did around the end of August.
I always enjoy seeing what my pen decides to do on what feels like its own. I looked around and about and couldn’t find a match, so here is what I deconstructed.
I guess my brain was on auto mode when I named it because I was thinking of a lovely pic that my daughter took of one of our grandchildren on a paddle board:
Susan illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Flobord below. She demonstrates how Flobord can be used as a ribbon-style frame around a tile and how it can be used back-to-back to fill a space.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours. Your thanks helps motivate them to continue to share! And please share a link to your favorite tangles on social media. Thanks!

November 11th – Veterans Day and Remembrance Day
Tomorrow is Veterans Day in the USA, across Canada and the rest of the Commonwealth November 11th is known as Remembrance Day.
My sister Karen brought to my attention that this year it’s a very special day: the 100th Anniversary of the Remembrance Day Poppy. Across Canada organizations are commemorating this special day with public poppy art installations.
Karen shares this gorgeous photo she captured on Saturday of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum poppy installation, each one hand-crocheted or knitted by volunteers. A beautiful and inspiring way of remembering those who gave their lives during the First World War.
For those interested in crocheting or knitting poppies for the future, you’ll find free patterns and yarn specifications here.

- "A Zentangle has no up or down and is not a picture of something, so you have no worries about whether you can draw a hand, or a duck. You always succeed in creating a Zentangle." Thus patterns that are drawings of a recognizable naturalistic or actual object, figure, or scene, are not tangles. A pattern is not always a tangle — here's what makes a tangle.
