Our mid-week muse is a floral-like tangle. Poppins is from Swiss CZT Lisette Hofer.

Like most of us the last year has offered Lisette more time for personal, crowd-free activities. She writes,
I have been tangling and walking my dog a lot lately. On a wonderful walk I passed by beautiful poppy seed pods. This could be a pattern!

The steps are really very simple. The secret lies within the shading.
For my Poppins example I ran into a temporary composition block so I resorted to making Poppins into a ribbon-style tangle, sans “stems”.
Lisette illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Poppins below where she shows it climbing enthusiastically over Boulder Builder, a great tangle by our late friend and CZT Bunny Wright.

This is wonderful! I’ve always been fascinated with poppies, and their seed pods. Thank you for allowing me to draw them!
