TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2019 Edition is here!

TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE - 2019 EditionYou’ve been waiting very patiently, and here it is!

I am so pleased to announce that the now 72-page TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2019 Edition is available for instant download from the STORE > EBOOKS page.

The Guide is revised and updated every January to include all the tangles from the previous year and add some new features too. This 8th edition integrates all of the tangles on the site from May 2010 through December 31st, 2018. Over 1,000 tangles!

The BOOK REVIEWS page for this year’s Guide has also been updated with more information and a sample page so if you want to know more about it, check out the details there.

Continuing her TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE tradition CZT Michele Beauchamp has added her beautiful Zentangle®-inspired art to the cover. In her ZIA Michele features many of the tangles that appeared on the site during the past year as well as a lovely example of a Marguerite Samama zenbutton. As a special bonus, a second page of Michele’s delicate artistry introduces the tangles section of the eBook.

This year’s TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE has grown to a 72-page (40 MB) PDF resource with each of the tangle images hot-linked to their post on this site.

More new features!

Several extra features and articles make the TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE an indispensable aid to using the site. It’s not only fantastic having a printed version to refer to, but where the Guide really shines is as an interactive digital aid.

For 2019’s Edition I added some “awesome” new features I think you’ll find pretty handy.

On page 2 the “Guide Contents” directory has “Quick Links” so you can jump to any section of the Guide. Even better, on page 10 where “The Tangles” begin there’s another new “Quick Links” feature so you can jump immediately to any letter of the alphabet when you’re looking for a particular tangle.

Also new this year is a “Zentangle Terminology” section so when you see an unfamiliar term you’ll have this handy reference at your fingertips.

This year’s edition again contains a reprint of CZT Sandy Hunter‘s excellent article, A post with no pictures. Sandy has graciously given me permission to include her article “in perpetuity” 🙂

To get your copy of the 2019 Guide click the cover image above or go to the top menu bar on any page on the site and select the STORE > EBOOKS page.

Technical stuff

Do take time to read the important information at the top of that page before you purchase the Guide and note that there are several eBooks on that page so TAKE YOUR TIME AND CHOOSE YOUR PURCHASE CAREFULLY!

The entire download process is automated — when your transaction is successfully completed your browser will be redirected to another page containing your personalized secure download link. To avoid file corruption, you must SAVE the document to your device before you attempt to open it. Once it has downloaded completely to your device you can then open the document and print it.

If your browser fails to open another page, your secure download link is also sent to the email address you used in PayPal. If you use the email address of a “significant other”, remember to let them know you are expecting a confirming email so they don’t delete it by mistake.

You don’t have to open an account to use PayPal: when you check out you will be given the choice of paying with a PayPal account OR with a debit or credit card. If you choose to pay with an e-check, when your check clears in 3-5 days your download link will be sent to the email address you used in PayPal.

How to order by mailNote: If you prefer to make your purchase by mail, you can send a check or money order (US$ money order if you are from outside the USA) with your email address PRINTED CLEARLY to:

Linda Farmer, TanglePatterns.com, PO Box 880386, Port St Lucie FL 34988. When your payment is received I will email you an eBook download link.

A word about the alphabetic sorting of the tangles for those who are bound to ask. In prior editions to simplify the sorting task I used Microsoft Word and its criteria for alphabetical sorting – and it is undeniably quirky. Again this year I’ve reorganized the list to correspond (mostly) with the sequence the tangles are displayed on the site, which also has its own quirks.

Thanks for supporting the site with your purchase! Creating my TANGLE GUIDE is a labor of love for me and it was such a pleasure reviewing all the great new tangles added in the last year, as well as revisiting the “oldies”. I hope you enjoy using this handy resource and will encourage your tangling friends to get their own copy.

Help spread the word!

If you have a blog or website I’d love it if you’d help spread the word in a post and/or add a “badge” for my new Guide on your blog – see the bottom of the RIGHT sidebar for the code. Sharing the news on your social media would also be greatly appreciated. A million thanks!

And as always, your feedback, comments and suggestions are always most welcome.

Cheers and happy tangling!

Keep your file in a safe place

Keep a backup copy in a safe place like a memory stick. Due to the frequency of requests to replace lost files and the personal time involved in handling these requests, lost files are not replaced free. Paraphrasing the late Canadian artist Robert Genn, I’d love to do it, but I’d need an extra week tacked onto every day. Replacements for lost files can be ordered and downloaded from the STORE > EBOOKS page.

    Linda,
I just downloaded Tangle Guide for 2019, so I wanted to thank you for your faithfulness and diligence in providing this website for those of us who enjoy tangling so much. It is a “labor of love” yet you do so much more than maintaining this site. I am most thankful and appreciative of your commitment, dedication and the standards of excellence you adhere to and have set for TanglePatterns.com. May God bless you and all that you do.

    :Happy dance:

I got the new Tangle Guide! Woot!

  • Melena

Linda, thanks so much for the 2019 Tangle Guide. I took some time to go through the whole thing and mark the tangles I’ve downloaded so I’ll know which ones I missed. I went over each one and see many that I don’t have that I’d love to have in my collection. Oh my! So many good ones and so little time and space. LOL I will have to use your random selector so I use more of these tangles 😀

  • Karen Lloyd

Linda, I couldn’t have said it better than Judy Stough did. I want to add my own appreciation for all that you have done and continue to do for all of us. Thank you so much for all your care, effort and diligence.
