Purze is an easy grid-based tangle from CZT Laurie Patterson from Hudson MA and it’s her first on the site.
Laurie’s inspiration for Purze was … (ta da) a purse! “I based it on this purse I saw in a store window in NYC many years ago.” And she includes a photo of it in her post.
She introduces herself,
I’m a teacher at heart and an artist wannabe. In 1997 I discovered Scrabooking which started my paper artist journey.
I created many, many scrapbooks and started working at a store, Ink About It, in 2004. From there I learned all about Cardmaking and stamping.
In 2010 I discovered Zentangle and in 2011 I went to seminar to be a CZT, Certified Zentangle Teacher.
A grid-based ogee-shaped tangle, the simple Purze has lots of potential for variation.
Laurie illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Purze here on her blog.
As you enjoy any of the tangles on the site, please do leave a comment of thanks and encouragement to show the artists you appreciate them for sharing their creativity to inspire yours.
