How to draw XS AND ORBS

It’s been quite some time since we’ve had a tangle added to the site from Connecticut CZT Maureen Stott who previously shared Arnia with us. Today she’s back with Xs and Orbs and writes, “I am addicted to orbs and how to use them on a tile.”

Xs and Orbs is the result of her orb-addiction explorations.

Xs and Orbs is an easy tangle to draw and makes an interesting ribbon or border style tangle. As with most tangles of this type, it can be repeated side-by-side in stripes (ribbons!) to make a cool overall filler pattern.

Maureen illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Xs and Orbs here on her blog and she features it in two lovely Zentangle® tiles complemented by other ribbon style tangles.
