Tangle Refresher 117 – Featuring how to make lovely Zentangle-inspired ornaments using Zentangle tiles

Santa’s Christmas elves have been very busy helping Sakura of America make videos showing how to create some simple and beautiful holiday projects. 🙂

Today we have another 5-minute video with CZT Dorian Eng in which she uses Zentangle® tiles along with Sakura products (listed below) to create 3D Zentangle-inspired ornaments embellished, of course, with lovely tangles.

If you missed it, Dorian’s video demonstrating how to make beautiful ZIA origami gift boxes from Zendala tiles was featured here.

Supplies used:

• Sakura Pigma Micron 01 pen –  Black, permanent ink
• Sakura Koi Coloring Brush Pens
• Sakura Koi Water Brush
• Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pens – glitter ink
• (4) Zentangle® tiles 3.5″ square, or watercolor paper (Note: Black Zentangle tiles decorated with Gelly Roll White and Stardust pens would make stunning ornaments too. Come to think of it, so would the Renaissance Tan tiles.)
• Paper, glue, tape, string
• Scissors, bone folder, paper clamps, paint palette

While these ZIA ornaments are a little more complicated to make than Dorian’s gift boxes, her instructions are very clear and with them you can create unique handmade ornaments that will be treasured for years.
