Charmzy is a sweet tangle from New York CZT Kelly Barone, earlier this summer Kelly shared her BrrrSt tangle with us.
Charmzy came about during a day spent tangling and it “showed up” in several tiles, so Kelly deconstructed the steps for us all to enjoy drawing it.
This tangle is based on a dot grid and I found it a little more challenging than you might expect.
What you have to be aware of through Steps 2 and 3 when you’re making your “loop” stroke, is that you have to allow equal spacing for the same stroke from the adjacent dot in the grid.
And a reminder that you can get an enlarged detail image to work with by simply clicking on Kelly’s steps image.
Another way to see enlarged images on your computer in any Windows program is by holding down the CTRL key and pressing ++ as shown in this image of the browser View > Zoom menu below. [Holding down CTRL and rolling your mouse wheel also works the same way.]
As the image shows, to reset your screen to its normal size, press CTRL and the number 0.
Kelly illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Charmzy here on her blog and she features it in several lovely Zentangle® tiles. Again, you can click on those too to see more detailed images.
Check out the tag kellyb for more of Kelly’s tangles on TanglePatterns.com.
