I like to ease us into the week with a very easy tangle pattern, and Amoeba by Linda Dawson is just perfect.
It’s simple, it’s fun and I think you’ll really enjoy it.

“The idea for this tangle came from a cross section of a seed pod, but the design reminded me of single cell organisms. It can ‘grow’ in any direction so is good to fill in odd shaped areas. It also blends well with many other tangles.“
Drawing Amoeba feels a bit like putting together a jigsaw puzzle where you are making up the shapes of your own pieces as you go along. And it doesn’t need the black background to look great but that does make it very bold. I’m sure you can think of lots of ways to vary this and as Linda points out, it’s a great filler for any shaped section of your Zentangle®.

Some of those little “Jigsaw Pieces” look like they are about to bite a chunk out of the next guy, and looking on with those big black eyes, too! They`re really cute!
