How to draw TRIADZ

There have been many school students joining us recently so I thought Triadz by Beth Snoderly would be a great addition to our tangle patterns today. Beth was inspired by triangle confetti she saw at her niece’s shower and she abstracted those shapes into this tangle.

Triadz can easily fill a section of your Zentangle® and it’s fun to play with turning your tile and changing each motif’s placement. You could also draw them in alternating rows or columns for a border or a less random fill, dare I say more organized?

Triadz can be drawn with one continuous stroke without lifting your pen nib so it’s a very good tangle to use for pen control and for teaching us — or reminding us — to take our time, breathe, and focus on deliberately drawing “one stroke at a time”™.

Beth illustrates the steps for drawing Triadz below. In my example above I added some shading for additional interest and I’m sure you can come up with even more ways to vary and embellish this tangle.
