How to draw CHIME

Here’s another fun and very easy tangle pattern from West Virginia tangler Beth Snoderly for your Labor Day Monday tangling pleasure. A little contrast to Friday’s popular and challenging Crusade tangle!

Chime is so versatile because you can change the basic shapes and embellish them to your heart’s content to produce many different results from the same tangle. The power of simplicity.

“This one I came up with at my cousin’s house. He has wind chimes and I started playing with squared circles and lines. I try to place every other row at the same place so they line up with the next row’s chime in the space between the chimes.“

I’ve left my example of Chime mostly plain except for a little pencil and bolder inner lines to give some dimension, but as you can see from Beth’s steps below you can really have fun playing with this one. And it can be used to fill just about any type of section in your Zentangle®.
