How to draw INSYDOUT

Zentangle pattern: InsydoutInsydout is a grid-based tangle pattern created by CZT® Mary Masi of the Sarasota area of Florida. If you’re from that area or just visiting, check out Mary’s schedule and sign up for a class.

Although it may look a bit complicated, as with many tangles Insydout is very easy to draw – one stroke at a time. I chose a variation to use as my example here.

Mary prefers tangles where she lifts her pen from the page as little as possible and Insydout is one of those. This is also true of her LukiLine and Yinlinx tangles.

Mary illustrates the steps for drawing Insydout here, together with several variations and example Zentangles. On her illustration, Mary also gives tips about drawing Insydout.

Check out the tag marym for more of Mary’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.

Great Tip!

Yesterday on “How do you choose tangles?”, tangler Kathy B. posted a very clever suggestion for picking random tangles – check it out.
