How to draw PRESTWOOD

Zentangle pattern: PrestwoodHere is another easy and elegant tangle pattern from Canadian CZT® Margaret Bremner.

Prestwood, she tells us, was inspired by a pair of antique Canadiana pressed back chairs her mother refinished.

Margaret includes a photo of the chair back and illustrates the steps for drawing Prestwood, here. Prestwood makes a very good border and as Margaret shows in several Zentangle® tiles on the same page, you can vary it with shading and fills of other patterns. Exaggerating the height of the initial “wave” would produce another interesting effect. I like it just the way it is too.

Check out the tag margaretb for more of Margaret’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.

    Dear Linda,
I want to tell you that I so much appreciate your work everyday. I follow and mark the tangles in a little gridded sketchbook. I enjoy the education you have given me. Thank you for everything you do with this excellent site. All your hard and consistent work is very much appreciated!
