How to draw RETICULATED

Zentangle pattern: ReticulatedLivia Chua (aka skinnystraycat) writes that her Reticulated tangle pattern was inspired by the reticulated python, “which I love”.

I prefer to regard this as a very adaptable border or string design because I’m totally squeamish in the snake department. And for a change I didn’t embellish this one a bit, it looks quite striking on its own. Aside: Do pythons strike, or do they just hug you to death??

Livia writes, “These freeform patterns are fun! You don’t need to measure with a ruler or use a pencil to mark the distance between two or more points when you draw any of these. Just go! These are 100% ruler-free, pencil-free and stress-free”.

Livia illustrates how to draw her tangle Reticulated, here. Livia’s still in her hand-stitched felt adorable ACEO’s-mode, but very recently she added some delightfully tangled origami paper ATC’s to her photostream and it’s good to see her inimitable tangling style back in action.
