How to draw ECHO

Zentangle pattern: EchoLoveland, Colorado CZT® Sue Clark created this cool tangle pattern, she named Echo. Sue’s inspiration for her pattern was fabric in a quilt her sister-in-law made for her when Sue retired last year.

In my version I added shading to give the shapes a puffy dimension. (Okay, the real reason I shaded it was to disguise my wiggly lines – worked pretty well!)

Echo is based on a grid although you don’t actually draw a grid. Sue illustrates the step-by-step instructions for drawing Echo here, where she also includes several ideas for variations. In addition, Sue shows a great Zentangle® tile incorporating Echo with some shading and size variations (which I just looked at again and realized Sue shaded hers too).

Check out the tag suec for more of Sue’s patterns on TanglePatterns.com.
